Security Research, Innovation and Education Event 2017 (SRIEE) – 14/15 November 2017, Tallinn (Estonia)

The European Commission in cooperation with the Estonian Academy of the Security Sciences (EASS) and the Estonian Ministry of the Interior will hold the Security Research, Innovation and Education Event in November 2017.

The 2-day conference will bring together approximately 400 participants – researchers, industry representatives, public security providers and practitioners (e.g. fire departments, police, intelligence agencies, etc.), policymakers and representatives of academies from across Europe.

This year it will have two high-level panels focusing on “From research to practitioners and end-users” and on “The future of security research”. Moreover, topics of other panels will address:

– security research requirements and potential solutions for managing borders;

– reacting to terrorist attacks, using the police to manage multi-country disaster situations

– training and preparation of future policing in terms of security research – perspectives and challenges.
